My name is Selena Ward, and I’m a local Residential Mortgage Banker- Loan Officer at Benchmark Mortgage. I married my HERO and 25 year Army Veteran in 2016 and together we have 4 children, a full house. We enjoy bike rides, road trips, movies, art, cooking and spending time together outdoors. We have a great appreciation for our Veterans and are always looking for opportunities to volunteer or show our support.
I grew up in a small Oklahoma town and attended college at Oklahoma State University, on a President’s Leadership Counsel Scholarship. Quickly I grew a love for Real Estate and jumped in as a buyer’s representative in 2001. I sold
Real Estate for 9 years before changing professions into the Mortgage Industry. I have been with Benchmark Mortgage since July, 2013 and have found we align with many of our Core Values- RELATIONSHIP, POSITIVE ATTITUDE, EXCELLENCE, DYNAMIC, AND SUCCESS.
Through years of experience, I’ve come to understand the stress and hassle of buying a home or refinancing an existing mortgage so I work hard to create a path of least resistance to the finish line. This is done by proper evaluation and expectations as well as effective communication. I’ve also come to understand that homeownership provides a HOME and increases overall wealth, and that is something exciting to talk about! I enjoy helping my clients strategize through their short term and long term goals, maximizing all benefits from having a home loan. Simply put, I want to become their mortgage banker for life!
